Drum Handling

Designed for standard 205 litre steel drums, the fully automatic clamping action enables safe and precise placement of drums without the operator having to leave the Drivers seat. The Support Arms are adjustable to ensure secure clamping.

The drum is gripped by pushing the arms against the drum centre and driving forward with the Forklift. The arms will engage around the drum and lock under the rolling hoop when raised. The heavier the load, the tighter the grip becomes. To release the drum, simply lower thedrum onto ground level and reverse the Forklift. The finish on the Drum Lifter is Zinc Plated steel.

Drum handling made easy. A good field of vision allows the operator to continually observe the drum being handled. The operator does not leave the drivers seat. The unique Grab Beak design provides a high clamping force, even when travelling over uneven ground. With few moving parts this attachment requires no down time for repairs. These Lifters are suitable for standard 205 litre steel or plastic drums.

The Optimum BGN-1 has been designed to lift a single drum while the type BGN-2 has been designed to lift 2 drums side by side or a single drum by either Grab Beak mechanism. A contoured rest acts at a point low enough down the drum to prevent damage to the drum and its labelling.

The Optimum DL1000 Drum Lifter would be considered the safest Drum Lifter available. This unit ensures 205 litre steel Drums are moved with 100% security. The Drum is quickly clamped into the support via the dual Chain Belly Strap & eccentric lock. A further safety catch prevents accidental release.

The Optimum DC-T Cord Operated Drum Rotator is designed for fast and economical solution to emptying 205L drums. To release the drum the operator pulls the draw chord from the drivers seat. This unit is ideal for scrap and waste products.

A Belly Strap with an over-centre catch holds the Drum firmly in position. To release the drum the Operator pulls the draw chord from the driver’s seat.

The Optimum DR-NC Drum Rotator is designed to lift and rotate 205 litre Drums forward through 360° above the chest height of the Operator. A Hand Chain is used to rotate the Drum via a Gearbox for controlled rotation.

A Chain Belly Strap with an eccentric lock holds the Drum firmly in position. This slip-on attachment requires only the connection of a safety chain to the Forklift. The standard finish of this unit is Hot Dip galvanised.

The Optimum DC-R2 Hydraulic Drum Rotator is designed to lift and rotate 205 litre Drums. A Chain Belly Strap with an eccentric lock holds the Drum firmly in position. Rotation is provided by the Forklift hydraulics and controlled by the 3rd function lever.

This unit is designed with a heavy lift capacity. The standard finish is painted enamel.

The Optimum DC-GR2 Hydraulic Drum Rotator is a heavy duty 205 litre drum lifter with hydraulic grab & 130 degree rotation ability. With 1 tonne lift capacity, this attachment is ideal for the recycling industry and for mining applications. This lifter is able to pick a single drum from a pallet of 4 without disturbing the other 3 drums. Unit is fitted with quick connect couplings for connection to the 3rd and 4th Forklift hydraulic valves. Standard finish is enamel painted.
